Exporting data

Export any list — attendees, orders, payments, scans — to a CSV. The export matches your current search, filters, and visible columns, and you can save a reusable column template.

Most list views in Guest Manager export to a CSV in one click. The Export button sits in the upper-right of the list, and the file matches the current view — your search, your filters, and the columns you have showing.

Export a list

  1. Open a list. Attendees, Orders, Payments, Scans, and most other tables support export.

  2. Set up the view first. Search, apply filters, and use the Columns control to show or hide columns. The export reflects whatever is on screen.

  3. Click Export.

A CSV downloads with the visible columns, in the order they appear in the list.

Export options

The arrow next to Export opens a menu with two column choices:

  • Visible columns… — only the columns currently showing, in their on-screen order. This is what the main Export button does by default.
  • All columns… — every available column for that list, including ones you have hidden.

Some lists carry a Related button next to Export. It exports records linked to the current view rather than the list itself.

  • From Attendees, related exports include ticket types, ticket notes, form responses, ticket transfers, and scans.
  • From Orders, related exports include tickets, line items, payments, form responses, and refunds.

The related export respects the same search and filters as the list you started from.

Reusable export templates

On the Attendees list, you can save a template that exports a fixed set of columns — for example, first name, last name, and email only. Saved templates then appear as their own entries in the Export menu.

  1. Open the Export menu and click Create templates.

  2. On the templates page, create a new template.

  3. Move the fields you want into the template’s active fields, then name and save it.

  4. Return to the Attendees list and open the Export menu. Your template now appears as an option.

FAQ

Why are columns missing from my export?

The default Export button only includes columns that are currently visible. To get every field, open the Export menu and choose All columns…, or add the columns to the view first with the Columns control.

Can I export only specific columns every time?

On the Attendees list, save an export template with just the fields you want. The template appears as its own option in the Export menu, so you don’t re-pick columns each time.

Why don’t I see a template option on Orders or other lists?

Reusable export templates are available on the Attendees list only. Other lists support the Visible columns… and All columns… options.

My attendee custom fields aren’t in the export

Custom fields collected at registration export only after they are attached to a ticket type and shown as columns on the Attendees list. Add the fields to the ticket type, reload the list, then enable the columns with the Columns control. Fields stored on the contact record are exported from the contacts area instead. See Custom fields.

Can I schedule an export to run automatically?

No. Exports run on demand from the list view. Set up the view you want, then export when you need the file.
