Open any attendee to change their name, email, ticket type, list assignment, or custom field answers. Edits apply to that one ticket and take effect immediately.
Edit the attendee
-
In the attendee list for your event, click Edit next to the attendee.
- Change any of these fields:
- Contact — the customer record this ticket belongs to. For attendees you added manually, reassign the ticket to a different contact to track that person’s attendance across events. A ticket created from an order stays linked to that order’s customer.
- Ticket type — move the attendee to a different ticket type.
- List — assign the attendee to a list for reporting (for example a company, staff member, or promoter).
-
To change the name or email on this one ticket without touching the contact record, edit the fields under Custom Ticket Details. These values are specific to this ticket and are not saved to your guest database.
-
Edit any custom field answers (for example dietary restrictions or table number) and add notes.
- Click Save.
The attendee’s details update immediately.

FAQ
What’s the difference between the contact and the name on the ticket?
A contact is a customer record in your database that can hold many tickets across many events. The name on the ticket can differ from the contact. If one person buys two tickets, both carry the buyer’s contact, but you can put a guest’s name on the second ticket under Custom Ticket Details — so both tickets still deliver to the buyer while showing the right name on each.
Why can’t I change the contact on this attendee?
The contact is locked when the ticket came from an order. To change who attends in that case, edit the name and email under Custom Ticket Details instead, which updates this ticket without reassigning the order’s customer.
