Sales for each registration type are controlled on the registration type itself. You can turn one off by hand, schedule when it opens and closes, or close it by selling out its inventory.

Requirements: An event with at least one registration type — see Registration types.

Turn a registration type off by hand

  1. Open the event and go to its registration types list.

  2. Open the registration type you want to change.

  3. Turn off Enabled.

  4. Save.

The registration type’s status changes to Disabled and it can no longer be bought. Turn Enabled back on to resume sales.

Schedule when sales open and close

Each registration type has a sales start and a sales end date. Set either or both to open and close sales automatically.

  1. Open the registration type.

  2. Set the sales start date to the moment sales should open, and the sales end date to the moment they should close.

  3. Save.

Before the start date the registration type is not on sale; after the end date it is off sale again. With no dates set, the registration type is on sale whenever it’s enabled and in stock.

Close sales by selling out

Set a registration type’s quantity to zero. Once nothing is available it shows as sold out and buyers can’t purchase it. Raise the quantity again to reopen sales. See Registration types for editing inventory.

  • Event page — control whether the public order page itself is visible.

FAQ

What’s the difference between turning off Enabled and setting a sales end date?

Turning off Enabled stops sales immediately and stays off until you turn it back on. A sales end date stops sales automatically at a time you choose, with no action needed when the date arrives. Use Enabled for an on-the-spot stop, and the end date for a planned close.

I set a sales start date but the registration type is already on sale. Why?

Sales open only after the start date passes, and only if the registration type is enabled and in stock. If it’s selling before the start date, confirm the start date is in the future and saved on the right registration type.

Can I switch from early-bird to regular pricing on a set date?

There’s no automatic switch between two prices on a date. Give each price its own registration type and schedule their sale windows: set the early-bird registration type’s sales end date to the cutoff, and the regular registration type’s sales start date to the same moment.

Does turning a registration type off hide it from the order page?

No. A disabled registration type can still appear on the public order page, marked as unavailable. To remove it from the page entirely, hide it instead — see Registration types.
