Tickets aren’t shipped, but fulfilling a ticket order can trigger Shopify’s shipment confirmation email. A setting in the app controls whether that email goes out when the app fulfills the order. It is off by default. Turn it on only if you want the shipment notification — with its tracking link to download tickets — sent on order completion.
Requirements: The Event Ticketing app installed.
Turn the shipment email off
-
In the Event Ticketing app, open Settings.
-
Scroll to the Shipment notification section.
- Check the Shipment update notification status badge:
- Inactive — no shipment email is sent. This is the default; nothing more to do.
- Active — Shopify sends the shipment confirmation email when a ticket order is fulfilled. Click Turn off to stop it.
- Click Save.
The shipment confirmation email is no longer sent when the app fulfills ticket orders.

FAQ
Why are my customers getting a “your order shipped” email for tickets?
If the app fulfills your ticket orders, the Shipment update notification setting is turned on — when active, the app fulfills with customer notification enabled, so Shopify sends its shipment confirmation email. Turn the setting off in Settings to stop it.
What does turning this on actually do?
When active, the app fulfills the order with customer notification enabled, so Shopify sends its standard shipment confirmation email on order completion. The tracking link in that email points to a web page where the customer can download their tickets.
Does turning this off stop my customers from getting their tickets?
No. This setting only controls Shopify’s shipment confirmation email. Ticket delivery is handled separately — see the ticket attachment email for emailing tickets as a PDF or Apple Wallet pass.
