Account approval

Why does Guest Manager say an action requires account approval? New and flagged accounts are held by an anti-spam gate before they can email tickets, run campaigns, or import large lists. Here's how to get approved.

Guest Manager holds new and flagged accounts behind an anti-spam gate. Until your account is approved, a handful of bulk and email actions are blocked, and you’ll see an Action requires account approval error. There is no self-service way to lift the gate — contact support to request approval.

What’s blocked until approved

  • Emailing tickets, manually or in bulk
  • Resending a ticket email
  • Sending email campaigns
  • Importing a spreadsheet with more than 100 rows
  • Bulk operations on the Attendees tab

Other parts of the account — creating events, selling tickets, and check-in — keep working while approval is pending.

Why the gate triggers

  • New account — every new account starts unapproved and clears the gate once support approves it.
  • Spam sweep — after a spam surge, unapproved accounts are locked proactively. If this happened to you, it isn’t specific to your account.
  • Flagged as possible spam — in this case, support may require a paid plan and a credit card on file before approving.

How to get approved

Message support in this chat or by email and include your account name. Approvals are manual and are done immediately while support is online.

If your account was flagged as possible spam, subscribe to a paid plan and add a credit card first — a free account is not approved in that case.

FAQ

I bought a credit package but I’m still blocked. Why?

Purchasing credits does not lift the approval gate on its own, even though the import error suggests it might. A flagged account needs a paid plan and a credit card before approval; buying credits without a subscription doesn’t qualify. Contact support after subscribing.

Is the 100-row import limit permanent?

No. It only applies while your account is unapproved. Once approved, you can import larger spreadsheets. Imports are additive, so upload only attendees who aren’t already in the system rather than re-uploading the full list.

Will approval happen automatically?

No — approval is manual. A flagged account needs a paid plan and a credit card first, but subscribing doesn’t auto-approve you. Contact support to be approved (done immediately while support is online).
