Manage your check-in devices from the dashboard

The headline this month is a proper home for the devices and people scanning at your events — but there’s a good stack of smaller improvements behind it too.

Manage your check-in devices from the dashboard

There’s a new Check In page — one place for every device and operator:

  • Enroll a device by scanning a QR code or typing the short code shown on the device — no more copying tokens by hand.
  • Give each operator a PIN (tap to reveal), and switch operators without re-enrolling the device.
  • Scope access per event — grant a device or staff member all events, or just specific events and categories.
  • Revoke a device the instant it’s lost or returned: its access is cut and its local data wiped (paired with the device-side wipe in Check-In 4.x).

(The searchable fleet-health view and device on/off controls landed in May.)

Stronger email deliverability

Your tickets, confirmations, and reminders ride on your sending reputation, and one bad batch can drag down the rest. A new sending-health system watches the signals mailbox providers care about — hard bounces, spam reports — and steps in automatically to protect your reputation. It runs quietly in the background; the upshot is more of your email landing in inboxes. We also stopped re-sending ticket emails to addresses that recently hard-bounced.

A smoother, safer CSV import

Importing attendees is easier to get right: a downloadable sample CSV, smart column matching that pre-selects your mapping, and guardrails that warn when no name column is mapped or stop a file that gives one email two different names — plus a clear summary of errors and warnings with links straight to the rows that need a look.

Also this month

  • Faster event pickers across the dashboard — they search server-side instead of loading every event up front.
  • Email settings: toggle the address shown in your email footer, with a sensible unsubscribe default on transactional mail.
  • Privacy: we can now fully erase a contact’s data on request — across their orders, tickets, forms, and custom fields.
