How the Events area in Guest Manager works — find upcoming and past events, filter and sort the list, and delete an event you no longer need.

An event is the foundation for everything else in Guest Manager — registration types, attendees, and check-in all hang off it. The Events area is where you find, organize, and manage them. To create one, see Create an event or Multiple events.

Find your events

Open Events from the left sidebar. Events are split into two views:

  • Upcoming — events that have not yet happened.
  • Past — events whose date has passed. An event moves here automatically once its date is in the past.

Published and unpublished

Each event is either published or unpublished. An unpublished event is not yet live for buyers and appears in the list styled in red so you can spot it. New events start unpublished. Publish an event when you are ready to sell to or register attendees.

Filter and sort

The list has filters for narrowing what you see — for example, select one or more venues from the Venue filter, or pick a recurring event from the Recurring event filter, to show only matching events.

To sort, click a column heading that shows direction arrows. Click again to switch between ascending and descending order.

Delete an event

Deleting an event removes it along with its registration types, attendees, tickets, and lists. This is destructive and applies even to events that already have orders or registrations.

  1. Find the event in the list.
  2. Open the event’s actions and choose Delete.
  3. Confirm when prompted.

The event is removed and disappears from the list. Deletion of an event with many tickets runs in the background and can take a little time to finish.

FAQ

Can I delete an event that already has orders or registrations?

Yes. An event can be deleted whether or not it has sold tickets or taken registrations. Deletion is destructive, so only delete an event you are certain you no longer need.

An event isn’t in the Upcoming list — where is it?

If its date has passed, it has moved to the Past view. Switch to Past to find it.

Why is one of my events shown in red?

A red row means the event is unpublished — it is not yet live for buyers. Publish it when you are ready.
